I left my hometown and now I wander America like a lost soul seeking purpose. There's a peculiar joy in this restlessness. Nothing quite compares to the contentment of returning exhausted from travels, stretching out and collapsing into bed. Life spiralled on predictably—childhood, studies, an engineering degree, responsibilities—until work unexpectedly granted me passage to another continent. Without this opportunity, I might never have discovered whether wanderlust truly lived within me. Leaving behind family and my mother created an odd loneliness, yet these journeys became the remedy for that ache. Across America, I've encountered wonders that still astonish me. Eleven of the nation's 63 national parks have left their mark on my memory. I've watched the Northern Lights shimmer across midnight skies. Ancient trees, some older than two millennia, have left me speechless. I've seen a colourless river transform into emerald waters. I witnessed 18,000 acres consumed by forest fires and later saw new life sprouting from charred trunks, an oddly hopeful reminder. Encountering our gods and temples on foreign soil stirred something profound within me. I've descended into vast caverns beneath the earth. I've gazed at city landscapes from helicopter windows. I've run across frozen streams in winter's grip. Once, lost in the woods, a sudden beam of light appeared like grace itself. These moments belong to me alone—fragments of unexpected beauty. This collection attempts simply to capture them.
