Wedding on the Maharaja Express: A Big Fat Indian Wedding, a Dead Guest and a Train Full of Suspects | Murder Mystery Based in India

Vir has carried a quiet, stubborn love for Vani most of his life. Somehow, impossibly, they're getting married, and the setting couldn't be more lavish: the Maharaja Express, a rolling monument to old-world Indian grandeur, carrying the wedding party across the subcontinent for a week of celebrations. There's just one snag. Vani doesn't love him back. Not yet. So they strike a deal: Vir has until the final stop to change her heart. If he can't, he steps aside. It's a romantic premise, and for a while it almost holds. But weddings, as anyone who's survived one knows, have a way of attracting chaos. Uninvited exes materialise from nowhere. Old grievances resurface. Blackmail and bruised egos begin to fray the festive mood, and clashes over outdated family expectations add a sharper, more uncomfortable tension to the mix. Then someone turns up dead. With the train stopped and passengers confined on board, the guest list transforms overnight into a suspect list. Vishwani uses the closed-carriage setting to good effect, wringing genuine suspense from the confined space while keeping the romantic thread alive beneath the intrigue. It's a story where love is treated as a kind of wager, fragile and high-stakes, and somebody, it turns out, is prepared to go to lethal lengths to tip the odds in their favour.
